Made by Melissa was initially started through me creating items that I wanted for myself, but struggled to find elsewhere. I like to make things that are personalised to a person, an event or an occasion; creating more of a special gift and sentiment. I started creating highly scented candles, wax melts, body products, cards, mugs and prints. As well as personalised clothing items, bags and branded clothing and media items for small businesses and special occasions – weddings, baby showers, hen parties etc.
Making and creating so many products became too much, there just weren’t enough hours in my days! I decided to focus mainly on media and marketing items for small businesses as well as prints and greeting cards; especially cards for black people as it can be difficult to find a good selection of these.
